WEEK OF NOVEMBER 12, 2018
Jenna Law is a 7th grader at Onalaska Middle School. She just finished playing as a defensive tackle on their football team. After football she rejoined her Wave team at the YMCA where she likes to hang out at during her free time. She gets As for grades and is a hard worker. She has an outgoing personality and makes people smile and laugh. Jenna is always willing to help and she is very kind to others.

Zach Slevin is a junior at Logan High School and is involved in many activities while also excelling academically. Zach is a honor roll student and also participates in cross country, swimming and track and field. Zach recently won the MVC boys cross country championship race and followed that victory up with an individual WIAA Sectional Championship. He is leader on the Logan boys CC team which finished 2nd at sectionals and earned their 2nd straight trip to state. Congratulations Zach on being a great role model and exemplifying what it means to be a student athlete!

Dawson Gronemus is an 8th grader at West Salem Middle School where he is a WEB leader. He runs cross country in the fall and double sports in the spring with track and soccer. He is an alter boy at church, a senior patrol leader in his Boy Scout Troop, and has held several officer positions in his Bangor Township 4-H Club. Dawson is very diligent with balancing his extra curricular activities and his school work. He works hard to maintain high honor roll each trimester. Not only is Dawson a quiet leader, but he's kind. That's one of the most important things in life!

Margaret Roberts is a 5 year old Kindergartner at Viking Elementary. She loves school, especially music and art class. She loves dancing and is currently a student at Amanda' Academy of Dance where she does Ballet. In her free time, she likes to play with her two younger brothers, loves being outside, likes to read, and spending time at her grandparents house!

Isaiah Denning is a 12 year old 7th grader at Logan middle. He is currently playing football for Logan middle and has already signed up for basketball for Logan. He's doing well in school and loves helping with his brother and sisters! In his free time he likes to play basketball at the Boys and Girls Club and hang out with his friends and family.
WEEK OF OCTOBER 8, 2018
Leah Murphy is 11 years old and is a 6th grader at Logan Middle. The last part of her elementary school years was rough. She had 5 surgeries total from 4th and 5th grade. Started out removing a mass from her femur to a simple fracture and 2 days later broke that femur in half. Her strength through it all was incredible and inspiring! She still found time to study and read all while going through not only physical trauma but mental trauma. She's always going above and beyond to make others smile, she's an amazing big sister to her little brother, and she still finds ways to continue strong in school and work hard!

Sammi Hanson is an 8th Grader at Onalaska Middle School. She is a W.E.B leader. She plays basketball, softball, and volleyball. Sammi gets good grades and even makes the OnaRoll (which is similar to Honor roll, but a smidge different). In her free time, she does gymnastics.

10 year old Jordan Candahl is in 4th grade at Southern Bluffs. Academically, he continues to succeed, moving into honors courses at school called High performance learning. Additionally, he balances his academic demands with other passions in sports (football through BGC, hockey -LaCrosse river city youth association, baseball- shelby, and soccer- park and rec), music with starting the cello, tech club at school, and volunteering in his community with the Cardiac Arrest Association, Shelby Fire Dept, and most recently with helping the flood victims with clean up needs and donations. Despite the many hats Jordan wears, his heart is always kind and willing to give to others, with a big smile on his face. Jordan has proven his ability to balance life demands of school, sports, community involvement and eagerness to help others, with a positive attitude and unwavering kindness to others.

Aria Large is in kindergarten at Coulee Montessori. She loves school, especially reading and math. Aria is a very busy and active five year old. And she does not like sitting around. She is joining Girl Scouts this year and is going to start acting classes through the La Crosse Community Theater youth program. She is also continuing her dance education at Misty's Dance Unlimited doing ballet and tap. In her spare time she likes to draw, sing, play at the playground, go to the YMCA and hang out with her friends!
