City of La Crosse to Provide Free Masks:
As part of their on-going efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the City of La Crosse will be giving out face masks that meet CDC recommendations to the public at no cost.
The event will be set up as a drive through pick-up to minimize direct contact. Here are the details:
• Myrick Park main shelter – vehicles should enter on Myrick Park Dr and follow signs
• Saturday, October 17th 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
• 1 mask will be provided per member of household will be provided, limited up to 5 masks per household
• Masks are washable & reusable
“Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of La Crosse has been focused on ensuring our community is as safe as possible” said Mayor Kabat. “We are continuing with this effort by offering masks that meet CDC recommendations to all members of our community at no cost to them. Through grant funding we have the ability to do this and I personally feel it is important to empower our community to follow this common-sense approach to prevent the spread.”
