La Crosse County Health Department is partnering with the Wisconsin National Guard to host community drive-through COVID-19 testing site at the La Crosse County Highway Department building in West Salem. Events will be Saturdays from 9a-5p, currently scheduled through December 5th.
This is a nasal swab test. Testing is still available at local health care partners for those with symptoms. Testing will take place as a drive-through.
This testing site is open to anyone who is currently experiencing any of the following symptoms or those who have been a contact of a positive COVID-19 case, ages 5 and up.
Please note that even those with mild symptoms are encouraged to attend:
– Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
– Chills or repeated shaking with chills
– Muscle pain
– sore throat
– new loss of taste or smell
Save time by registering online ahead of time!
This testing site is intended for Western Wisconsin residents. Note that lines may become long and attendees need to remain in their vehicles. Bring a book or other in-car entertainment. Be sure to have a full tank of gas. No antibody testing will be completed at this time.

Results from the testing site can be expected in 3-5 days. If you have not received your results after 5 days, please call the National Guard Testing Hotline at 1-866-419-6988.
