UNITED WE CHALK is a family-friendly, all-abilities chalk art competition. This year’s event is presented by artPOP. Come to win or watch — it’s all for a GREAT cause… Great Rivers United Way’s 51 funded programs!
Prizes
- People’s Choice cash prizes — $200 each
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Advanced
- Juried Awards — trophies for:
- Best Use of Theme — incorporate GRUW’s 2022-23 campaign theme, “Play it Forward,” or depict a community need GRUW supports
- Best Use of Special Effects — use 3D, illusion, or interactive elements
- Best Use of Color — include a wide variety of colors, or create interest with just a few
Early bird registration is $40 and includes:
- 1 box of Crayola 48-count Washable Sidewalk Chalk
- You are welcome to bring/supplement with your own supplies (must be non-permanent)
- 1 brush, bucket, and sponge
- 21′ 10″ x 11′ 4″ paved space
- Placement is first-come, first served the morning of the event
- You do not need to fill your entire space, but this is the maximum space given to every individual/team
- Bottled drinking water
