Seeds of Hope Campaign to raise funds for the Kane Street Community Garden

The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse is pleased to announce the annual Festival Foods Seeds of Hope campaign began Sunday, May 12. This campaign helps sponsor the Kane Street Community Garden, the first program of the Hunger Task Force. Funds raised through Seeds of Hope purchase seeds, bedding plants, fertilizer and other supplies necessary to plant and maintain the garden throughout the growing season.

Festival Foods hosts The Seeds of Hope campaign and encourages their employees and customers to help their neighbors through contributions. The campaign will run from May 12 through May 26.

Last year, nearly 30,000 pounds of produce were harvested from the garden. The Hunger Task Force distributes free of charge to garden recipients on-site and to our 113 partners that include food pantries, meal sites, and youth programs serving a vast number of those in need in our area.

Visit each of the Festival Foods locations now to donate at the registers! Festival Foods is located within the Village Shopping Center and on Copeland Avenue in La Crosse, Crossing Meadows in Onalaska, and on North Holmen Drive in Holmen. We very much appreciate their partnership in our efforts to alleviate hunger!
