Football is back, and it’s fantastic

This is the least sarcastic, most wholesome blog I have ever written.
If you were to ask 10 people from Wisconsin about their favorite season, 6 or 7 would say Fall, right? The cool, crisp air, the beautiful colors, festivals and holidays…. even though we hate Winter, we all love what comes first.
I love the fall-time because it brings football! I have never once played organized football, from elementary school all the way to high school…. for me, football has always been a spectator sport- and I’m amazing at it. I love opening the windows, feeling the fall breeze, watching the Packers- and maybe if I’m feeling ambitious, I fire up the slow cooker!
The NFL’s regular season began this last weekend, and I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed it more. We’ve all missed out on so much this year and dealt with crazy amounts of stress… it felt good to sit back, relax, and yell at my TV.
I started my day by watching the Fox pregame starting at 11 AM, and I didn’t cease watching until the end of Sunday Night Football- around 10:30 PM. I ate snacks, routinely checked my fantasy teams, and soaked it all in.
When I got to work on Monday, I felt so positive and optimistic… I had my most productive workday in weeks! I feel motivated to get home and watch Monday Night Football, then Thursday Night Football, then more next Sunday. With any luck, we’ll have 16 more weeks of this, and I feel so incredibly thankful.
