Written by on May 3, 2022

Black leaders Acquiring Collective Knowledge is a local non-profit with the mission to elevate and empower the Black Community in the city of La Crosse. They have a fundraiser this weekend to raise money to send their middle and high school students on college tours throughout the south, and future programming for the organization. B.L.A.C.K. co-founders Jazzma Holland and Shaundel Spivey joined us to chat more about the great work they do in the community and what to expect Saturday night:

There are limited tickets left for their Black and Gold Fundraiser this Saturday, May 7. Enjoy entertainment, great music, food, drinks, silent bids and more from 6:30 til 10 at the Court Above Main in downtown La Crosse. Tickets available here.

B.LA.C.K. is also heavily involved in the La Crosse Juneteenth Celebration next month. CLICK HERE for more on that event and CLICK HERE if you’re able to donate to the event.

Other upcoming events with B.L.A.C.K. include their Black Professionals Luncheon on May 20th and the August Ball on August 6th. There will also be a Juneteenth Court this year and applications are still open this week! CLICK HERE to apply.
