B.L.A.C.K.’S SHAUNDEL WASHINGTON-SPIVEY RAISING MONEY FOR LAX NON-PROFIT

Written by on April 4, 2024

Black leaders Acquiring Collective Knowledge is a local non-profit with the mission to elevate and empower the Black Community in the city of La Crosse. The organization recently purchased Mama K’s Pizza, and has some big projects on the horizon.

B.L.A.C.K. co-founder and Executive Director, Shaundel Washington-Spivey, is competing in this year’s “Conductor Wannabe” Contest with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra to raise money for the group. He stopped in to talk about next week’s fundraiser and big plans for the summer:

Vote for Shaundel to raise money for B.L.A.C.K. HERE and RSVP on Facebook to Wednesday’s event HERE. Each “vote” is a minimum of $2.00 – one dollar going to the LSO and the other dollar going to the candidate’s chosen charity.

Again this year, they are teaming up with Hope Restores, Black Student Leaders, and the Enduring Families Project for La Crosse’s Juneteenth Celebration.

They are also hosting their first WingaPalooza competition on June 30th!
