Jesse and I spent our lunch hour driving around with yummy smelling food, chatting, and helping the community today. It’s a good time and you can do it, too, if you’re able!
Mobile Meals of La Crosse, Inc is a non-profit organization that delivers nearly 30,000 meals annually to individuals in La Crosse, Onalaska and French Island 365 days a year. The meals are delivered by Volunteers from the community and they are eagerly searching for more volunteers!
Mid-West Family La Crosse volunteers a few weeks a year to deliver to a route and it’s really fun! We divide up the week between staff members and it’s only a little more than an hour out of our day.
Volunteers can sign up for a certain day, once a week, once a month, whatever works best for their schedule. Mobile Meals also has drivers on call to fill in when they need assistance so that’s another great option to volunteer! It’s a great opportunity for businesses, students who need volunteer hours, churches and other service organizations.
