LA CROSSE COUNTY’S ‘FOR GOODNESS SAKE’ HOLIDAY PROGRAM – SEASON OF GIVING DONATION
Written by Ballzer on November 24, 2025
La Crosse County’s “For Goodness Sake Project” is an invitation only program through the Health and Human Services Department. For the holidays, members of our community, businesses, and organizations sponsor individuals or families. You can also donate cash or gift cards to be used for those that are not sponsored at the end of the project.
Project Coordinator Lindsey Schwarz-Nichols, a Social Worker for the Health Department, shared how we can help and make a tremendous impact during the holidays:
The “For Goodness Sake Project” is a year-round program that is able to serve many community members in need. They’re always seeking donations of hygiene products (especially hotel sized), gift cards, and cash to purchase needed items. If you’re able to help, too, contact Lindsey via email, lschwarz@lacrossecounty.org, or call/text 608-473-3538 for more information.
This project makes a difference to those that are sponsored, and it can only happen with support from the community. 100% of this project is funded through local donations & community sponsors. This year, they expect to serve over 1,000 community members in need through this project.
Thanks to Dairyland Power Cooperative and Your Local Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, we were able to donate $500 to support this wonderful project!
