LA CROSSE DANCE CENTRE’S NUTRACKER AT VITERBO DEC 12-14

La Crosse Dance Centre is delighted to present its 36th Annual Nutcracker Ballet, a beloved holiday tradition that has enchanted audiences for more than three decades. The performances run December 12-14, 2025 at Viterbo Fine Arts Center.

Nikki Balsamo, Owner and Artistic Director of La Crosse Dance Centre, stopped in to talk about this year’s cast, special guests, and her favorite part of doing the show. I also always have to bring up the fun fact that she played the role of Maria as a High School student in La Crosse’s first ever Nutcracker Ballet.

This timeless tale tells the adventure of self-discovery for Maria, who receives a nutcracker doll from her Godfather Drosselmeyer on Christmas Eve. Join Maria on her journey as she defeats the evil Rat Queen, travels through a beautiful snow-covered land, and revels in the colorful Land of Sweets! Come celebrate the joy of the season with La Crosse’s original Nutcracker Ballet.
La Crosse Dance Centre is proud to continue its long-standing holiday tradition. Since its first performance in 1990, the Nutcracker has become a cornerstone of the La Crosse community’s seasonal celebrations. This year’s production features over 120 cast members, ages 4 through adult, showcasing the dedication, artistry, and community spirit that have defined the production for 36 wonderful years. Come see the magic live at Viterbo Fine Arts Center!

Performances will take place on:
Friday, December 12th at 7:30pm
Saturday, December 13th at 5:00pm
Sunday, December 14th at 2:00pm
Tickets are available through the Viterbo Fine Arts Center website and may also be purchased at
the door. Prices are $26 for Adults and $18 for Children 18 and under.
