MOBILE MEALS OF LA CROSSE – SEASON OF GIVING
Written by Ballzer on December 14, 2025
Mobile Meals of La Crosse, Inc. was established in the fall of 1971, and to this day operates with the mission to serve seniors, disabled, or home-bound individuals healthy nutritious meals 365 days a year. Katie Desmond, Executive Director of Mobile Meals of La Crosse, stopped in to talk with Ballzer about how they are funded and how to support:
Mid-West Family volunteers a few weeks a year and we just divide up the days between teams of people. It’s a cool way to give back to the community, drive around town with a co-worker, and sometimes I can even get out of a meeting by volunteering!
Mobile Meals delivers nearly 30,000 meals annually to individuals in La Crosse, French Island and Onalaska. This would not be possible without volunteers to deliver the meals every day. Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to the community. You can donate as much time as you’d like, even if it’s just a couple times a year! If you’d like to volunteer, call 608-784-4623, CLICK HERE or email Katie: lacrossemobilemeals@gmail.com You can also make a financial donation if you’re able HERE.
All meals are made from scratch at Mayo Health Systems in La Crosse. Meals are designed by professional cooking staff and can be customized to meet certain diet restrictions. If you, or someone you know, need assistance from Mobile Meals of La Crosse call 608-784-4623 or CLICK HERE for more info!
Thanks to Dairyland Power Cooperative and Your Local Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, we were able to donate $500 to support this wonderful project!
