ANNUAL WEEKLONG SHAKESPEARE BARD-A-THON STARTS SUNDAY!

Written by on January 16, 2026

The yearly tradition of reading Shakespeare’s works, 24 hours a day for 7 days is almost here. This year’s Bard-a-thon will be held January 18-25 at Arkadia (formerly The Commons) and Pump House Regional Arts Center in La Crosse, as well as online via Zoom.

Colin Thelen joined the Morning Buzz to talk about what to expect and how to get involved at whatever level you’d like!

The entirety of Shakespeare’s works will be read aloud during a non-stop read held in person and online. All are welcome to join in person at either location or via zoom at any time day or night to read along or just listen. All ages welcome! No experience necessary. Free experience.

They are doing this crazy insane project because they love the works of Shakespeare and want as many people as possible to experience the poetry. Show up anytime on zoom or in person and read along or just listen.

RSVP on Facebook for updates, and click here for more info and the Zoom link so you can tune in to listen or read from anywhere.

Also, try out for this summer’s Romeo and Juliet this month, it might be just the thing you need.
