Coon Valley Zcare donations through Power of 100+ Driftless Region

Power of 100 + Driftless Region is an awesome organization in Vernon County that has grown to over 80 members since 2016. In that time, they’ve given back over $60,000 to Cashton, Chaseburg, Coon Valley, Viroqua, and Westby. Each quarter they give back to our community through crowd funding. How does it work? A member commits to donating $100 four times a year. Each quarter, members gather for about a half hour to listen to 3 nominees. Members vote. One nominee walks away with all of the funds raised at that meeting. Nominees can be a group, individual, or cause.

Earlier this month they hosted a new event, their Informal Formal, to raise money for one event or organization. The winner was Coon Valley Fire and Rescue, who will use the money for their new brush fire truck! They decided to split it with the Coon Valley Area Baseball Association, also nominated for a donation at this event.

Ballzer joined Ann Rochen, Jenna Bean and Randi Strangstalien from Power of 100+ Driftless Region to present our donations to Fire Cheif Russ Cornford and Firefighter Roger Neidfeldt, who also works with the Coon Valley Area Baseball Association!
In one night, Power of 100+ Driftless raised $4,200 to help the community!!
