Abby from Park and Rec talks with the Z93 Morning Buzz about Youth Outdoor Fest

The City of La Crosse Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is excited to partner with the United States Fish & Wildlife Conservation Office and Friends of the Upper Mississippi Fishery Services (FUMFS) for the 11th Annual Youth Outdoor Fest!   It’s held on Saturday, July 13th at Veteran’s Freedom Park in La Crosse from 10am-2pm and is a totally free event!

Youth Outdoor Fest is a hands-on experience for kids of all ages and features a wide array of outdoor recreation opportunities for youth and their families.  Visit booths from agencies and organizations contributing activities included; The Genoa National Fish Hatchery, Natural Resources Conservation Services, Coulee Hunting Dogs, U.S. Geological Survey, Chaseburg Rod and Gun Club, La Crosse Archery, Trout Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and many others.


Youth Outdoor Fest exposes children and their families to boating, fishing with beginner rods, and kayaking, as well as archery, camping, and geocaching.  The variety of outdoor exhibit booths, presentations, and vendors provide a special experience for youth and their families.
