“JABRONI” NO LONGER JUST A DISS

Do you remember the first time you heard someone say, “Jabroni”? I remember thinking…what the hell is that?! I was told it was “just something The Rock says on Wrestlemania”. Well, it’s officially a word now! What I’d like to know is, how many points do you get for Jabroni in Scrabble?!
Dictionary.com has now added The Rock’s favorite wrestling term, Jabroni, to their website. Their definition is below!
- Slang. a stupid, foolish, or contemptible person; loser: She always has a comeback to own the trolls and jabronis on Twitter.Shut your mouth, you dumb jabroni!
- Also called en·hance·ment tal·ent [en-hans-muhnt tal-uhnt], job·ber [job-er] .Professional Wrestling. a wrestler whose purpose is to lose matches against headlining wrestlers in order to build up the status and fame of the headliners: The man is a legend in the ring—he eats jabronis for breakfast.

According to Wiktionary, Jabroni is explained as the following:
“According to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who frequently used the term, jabroni is a rendition of the wrestling term jobber, meaning one who loses to make other wrestlers look better. The term had previously been used by Scott Hall, Hulk Hogan, the Iron Sheik and other members of WCW and Steve Austin while in ECW.” Hmm, interesting! Add that to the list of things I never knew, and probably never would have, until looking it up for this blog!
2020 has brought a lot of negative, but this…this is the silver lining! Covid is a dumb Jabroni! Did I do it right?! 🙂
