If you follow me on Instagram, I recently shared a funny story about getting a spray tan and forgetting to take off my makeup! Of course, the next day, my body was bronzed, and my face was pale. I had to laugh at myself because typical me to forget an essential step like taking off my makeup before a spray tan? Honestly, it was a blessing in disguise. After all, it led me to the discovery of tanning drops! I have always wanted to try face and body tanning drops, and I thought, what better time than when my body is bronzed, and my face is pale? I was super impressed with the Tanologist Tanning Drops from Target! You mix 1-2 drops in with your moisturizer, and they work so well! I apply them at night, and in the morning, my face is bronzed and not splotchy. There $20 at Target and last a long time!
For years I have searched for a dupe for the Stila liquid eyeliner, and I finally found one that’s half the price! The NYX Epic Ink Liner has such a precise applicator to create the perfect winged eyeliner without getting too thick! The best part is it’s $7 and stays all day long.
Speaking of pigmented makeup, I found an oil-free makeup remover that removes the most full coverage makeup. My last blog discussed my obsession with the Maybelline SuperStay Ink Liquid Lipsticks and how well they stay, which is amazing but not when you come home from a night out, and your red lipstick is stained on your lips?! That’s when I discovered the Target oil-free makeup remover that’s only $4 and takes off the toughest makeup. Speaking of things I love from Target, I have been loving the Method Peony Body Wash. It’s the best smelling body wash ever, and it’s infused with peony, Rosewater, and pink sea salt! The best part is it’s non-toxic, cruelty-free, plant-based, and made with over 50% recycled plastic. It’s $7 and my favorite body wash of all time!
When it comes to facial SPF, I have tried them all. I look for an SPF that doesn’t clog my pores, smells delicious, and has good ingredients like Zinc Oxide. Zinc oxide is considered one of the best ingredients we have access to when it comes to SPF. It prevents UVA and UVB rays which causes sunburns, sun damage, and skin cancer. Another significant part of Zinc Oxide is it is resistant to water and photostable. My favorite SPF is, hands down, the Image Prevention Daily Matte Oil-Free Moisturizer. The Image SPF not only protects your skin from the sun but doubles as a protective primer before your makeup to give you a healthy glow. It’s mattifying and perfect for oily and acne-prone skin. I love trying new shampoo and conditioners because it’s so much fun switching it up. I have loved the Olaplex three-step system for stronger, healthier hair. I start with No.3. Hair perfector- it’s an at-home treatment that reduces breakage and strengthens your hair! The No.4 Shampoo and No.5 Conditioner maintain strength and protection. I leave the No.3 on for ten minutes and then wash it out, then wash my hair with the No.4, and then apply the No.5 and leave on for three minutes and then rinse out.
