OUR VERY OWN SAM STRONG NAMED MAPLE LEAF PARADE MARSHAL!

Tonight was the Parade Marshal announcement for Oktoberfest 2021! It was such a blast to see the Fest Family back together again and we were SO excited that Samantha Strong was named the Maple Leaf Parade Marshal!
Sam and Keith hosted the morning show on Z93 for a long time and have been hosting the Your Classic Morning Show on Classic Hits 94.7 now for years.
Sam was my first guess when I got the invite to the event. See, they send you an invite and tell you it’s someone you know, but do not tell you who it is. When we realized that everyone in the building got one, we knew the Maple Leaf Marshal had to be someone that works here. Sam was super smart and sent herself one but that didn’t throw me off.
Hearing everyone in the building guess staff members and spread rumors has been fun. The theories made me wonder if I was wrong and I had some other guesses but always knew there was a decent chance it was Sam.
I’m so happy for her and her husband Dan. They’re fabulous people. Even though, for what I assume was the first time in our 18 year friendship, she lied to me 😉
Our friend Scott Neumeister was named the Torchlight Parade Marshal, too! He and his wife Lisa are great northsiders and a fantastic choice for that parade, too!
