UKRAINE TEENS DANCE THEIR PROM WALTZ IN FRONT OF DESTROYED SCHOOL

This is heartbreaking.
The only word to describe this scene is “haunting”. I can’t imagine. I think back to my high school prom and it’s full of fun memories of spending time with my classmates, dancing in the school gym, laughing, and having a blast. That’s how prom should go. This memory; of guards standing on the sidelines to protect them while they dance in front of what used to be their school will most likely heavily weigh on these teens for the rest of their lives.
Students of School #134, Kharkiv, danced their prom waltz against the backdrop of the ruins of their Alma mater.

Heavily damaged days after #Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February, the school later became the last outpost for #Russian occupiers in Kharkiv.
