PARAMOUNT PLUS HELPING US CELEBRATE “MEAN GIRLS DAY”

Written by on October 3, 2023

If you’ve ever heard our show, you know I’m not much of a girlie girl but I loved Mean Girls so much when it came out in 2004. Written by the incredibly talented Tina Fey, the film is based on the book, Queen Bees and Wannabes. It’s funny, accurate and still holds up pretty well, which is tough for a high school movie over time.

This movie is definitely where I fell in love with Lizzy Caplan, as Janis Ian <3

You can currently stream the movie on Paramount Plus and they’re celebrating Mean Girls Day today! “What is Mean Girls Day?” you may ask. It’s October 3rd! There’s one single line in the movie where the boy that Lindsay Lohan’s character likes asks her what day it is and it’s October 3rd.

It’s been turned into a Broadway musical which is heading to theaters early next year!

Paramount released a great first line/last line comparison:

The streaming service added, “The social campaign will also include a Mean Girls watch party checklist, fun video clips and reels, an interactive Instagram quiz and more.”
