SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS’ “SWEET VICTORY” WILL KICK OFF NICKELODEON’S BIG GAME COVERAGE

Nostalgia is on tap for next Sunday! Spongebob and friends will “perform” their jam “Sweet Victory” before Super Bowl LVIII. Well, on Nickelodeon, and it will be CGI, but still, it’s happening!

If you’re not familiar, a Season 2 episode of SpongeBob Squarepants called “Band Geeks,” featured the banger. Squidward lead the band in the performance at the Bubble Bowl.

There was a tribute a few years ago after Spongebob creator, Stephen Hillenberg, who died that year after a battle with ALS, but it sounds like this will be the real deal, or at least as close as we’re gonna get.
