RIVER CLEAN UP NEEDS YOUR HELP MAY 10TH!

River Clean Up is a community-wide effort to protect and preserve the waterways and shorelines that make our region so magical. They’re still looking for volunteers on Saturday, May 10, and hoping to set a record with 600 helpers. Board member Sam Przywojski joined the Morning Buzz to chat about the event and how to get involved:

Volunteers are invited to join at one of four boat landings:
· 7th Street La Crosse (Green Island)
· Clinton Street West Landing
· Fred Funk Landing, Brice Prairie
· Goose Island West Landing
For more than 30 years, River Clean Up has been a force for positive change and a source of pride in the area. Since 1993, volunteers have:
· Removed almost 1 million pounds of trash from our communities
· Recycled more than 3,000 abandoned barrels
· Removed and recycled almost 2,000 tires from our waterway
