Milwaukee R&B LIVE is a live tribute performance celebrating the legacy, influence, and timeless sound of R&B across generations. As part of the City of La Crosse’s Black History Month celebration, the free community event at La Crosse Center on Saturday, February 28th, brings the community together for a night of music, culture, and shared experience, honoring the artists, stories, and rhythms that continue to shape us.

Sabir Shapiro, GRAMMY nominated songwriter/producer and author, joined Ballzer to chat about his recent trip to the GRAMMYs, the FREE event, how to get involved and announce a special guest!

Swayvo Twain will be performing! He is the son of soul legends D’Angelo and Angie Stone, and a rising musician in his own right.

This is not a traditional concert, but a curated tribute experience where performers come together as one collective to honor R&B legends while connecting past, present, and future through live performance. Featuring the music of legends like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, and more, reimagined live for one unforgettable night. This event is about community.
