LA CROSSE PUBLIC LIBRARY GRAND REOPENING THIS WEDNESDAY

La Crosse’s Main Library has been undergoing an interior renovation and it’s now complete! They’re inviting the public to tour new meeting spaces, check out the CREATE Lab, and enjoy casual activities, music, and snacks. No formal program—just drop in and explore during their open-house-style event on March 11, from 10 a.m.–6 p.m..
I snagged a chat with Library Director Dawn Wacek about the new spaces, how to tour them, and other happenings at the library:
This project has been fully supported by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Administration’s Flexible Facilities Program, funded through the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Capital Projects Fund. This special funding allows them to make needed building and broadband upgrades without using local taxpayer dollars from their day-to-day budget.
