rownie troop 4046 has planned to put on a clothing swap party for their required community service project and celebration of Earth Day! Bring in unwanted used clothing (boys and girls, sizes infants to teens), shoes, accessories, and books. Please no damaged or stained items and no used underwear.

Then have fun “shopping” for “new” items! This is completely a trading event, so no need to bring money. 🙂

All the leftover donations will be donated to New Horizon’s Shelter and Outreach Center, and Salvation Army.

We will provide snacks and refreshments and a kid’s activity area.

RAFFLES!
New Horizon’s has informed us that they are in need of these items: diapers, brand new socks and underwear (all sizes), and any various hygiene toiletries (deodorant, toothbrushes, tooth paste, shampoo, conditioner, baby wipes, hair brushes, skin and nail care items, etc…)

There will be 3 DRAWINGS for PRIZES! The drawings will be divided into these categories of items:

*Diapers
*Socks and/or underwear
*Toiletries

You will get your name put in a drawing for:
-Every pack of diapers you bring
-Every pack of socks or underwear you bring
-At least 3 toiletry items

The more brand new items you bring, the more of a chance to win a prize!

This event is a win win win situation all around! You will clear clutter by helping families in need and take home “new” items for completely free! Even if you have nothing to bring, you are still welcome to come grab items if you are in need. I’m sure there will be plenty! And you will make some new family friends!

This will be a fun, resourceful, social event to benefit the community and celebration of Earth Day, and gives our Girl Scout Troop a real experience on making a difference in the community!
