BACK 2 SCHOOL PROGRAM

As a lot of our community is starting to celebrate “School’s Out for the Summer” time, another part of our community is already starting to try to figure out how to get Back 2 School for next year.

The La Crosse Community is very excited to once again join forces to help families get our students ready to head back with their annual Back 2 School program! 
Mid-West Family invites you to join us in supporting this program by donating backpacks and school supplies, or you can make a monetary donation so they can purchase these items.

Catholic Charities Advancement Director Monica Organ joined the Morning Buzz to talk about this year’s events, their goal of $15,000 and how we can help:

Monica said last year this program was able to help 500 families and more than 1,000 students. This year, they hope to do more so they have a goal of $15,000!

The application deadline for recipients is July 17, 2026!
If you’re able to donate, grab all the info, a list of needed supplies, and donate online HERE!

Got more time than money? They’ll need volunteers, watch Catholic Charities Facebook page for updates or reach out to Courtney Kress at ckress@cclse.org for volunteer needs.

There will be three Back2School events where families can pick up supplies.

Erickson BGC – July 28th: 5:30 pm-7 pm – 1331 Clinton Street, La Crosse
La Crosse Center – August 4th: 9 am-12 pm and 1 pm-5 pm – Arena Floor
Mathy BGC – August 11: 5:30 pm-7 pm – 811 8th Street South, La Crosse
