Pixies, Kings and Magical Things at LCT!

Written by on October 31, 2018

Thanks to Mary Cate Cichock and Lucas Wesling for stopping in this morning to chat about their show, Pixies, Kings and Magical Things! Performances begin this Saturday, November 3, 2018, and continue through Sunday, November 11, 2018.

Shows are Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. in the Veterans Studio Theatre at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts.

Narrator Hans Christian Andersen steps in to perform three of his classic tales. The Swineherd tells the story of a vain princess and the lesson she learns from a clever boy. In The Pixie and the Grocer, a pixie learns the balance of art and appetite. And the classic tale of vanity, The Emperor’s New Clothes, is given a fun twist as the emperor follows the foolish counseling of his ministers.

“Children and families alike will love this fun and whimsical telling of three of Hans Christian Andersen’s popular tales. Come experience the joy of live theatre as we create a magical and interactive experience that all ages will enjoy,” said LCT Producing Artistic Director, Grant Golson.

Pixies, Kings and Magical Things is directed by Stacy Bruemmer. This production also features costume design by Jennifer Burchell and lighting design by Erek Weis.

The performers are Stacy Bruemmer, Mary Cate Cichock, Dustin Luecke, and Lucas Wesling.

“I am excited to bring Pixies, Kings and Magical Things to the stage because H.C. Andersen is the original master storyteller! What better way to learn about kindness, sharing, and listening than with a story,” said Director, Stacy Bruemmer.
