DIY SANDBOX IDEAS, EVEN ONE YOU CAN EAT!

How do you make a beach with cheerios you ask? Well, a mom on TikTok decided to take Cheerios, put them in a blender, and use them for sand in a cute little, make shift, sandbox! Brilliant! When her toddler decides to put the “sand” in her mouth (cause they always do), it won’t be harmful!

That’s the perfect amount for a toddler but with our beaches being closed right now in La Crosse due to COVID-19, you may need something a little bigger for your older kiddos. Here are a few DIY ideas for them. You can generally buy the sand at Menards, Walmart, or any home improvement store, and it’s fairly inexpensive.

Use a giant tote! You’ll have a lid to put on it at the end of the day to keep the bugs, rain, and critters out! This is my favorite pick and probably the easiest!

Inflatable Sand Table! These are cool! Saw these on Walmart’s website!

Use a giant tire! Ask around. Friends, or even businesses, may have extra tires they don’t need. They need to be washed first, but make a great sandbox!

Small Kiddie Pool! They’re reasonably priced, but could be hard to find right now because they’re in high demand. But you might luck out 🙂
