YES, MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE IS STILL ON… TV

Written by on November 25, 2020

It’s just going to be staged as a TV-only event in 2020. For the majority of us around here it will be pretty much the same: watching in our sweatpants from the comfort and safety of home. All performances will be staged in or around New York City’s Herald Square, Macy’s flagship department store, instead of a parade through the city.
NBC will air the 2020 parade from 9 a.m. to noon in all time zones Thursday. Today’s Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will host.
Not only will there be big balloons, but also big performances! Dolly Parton, Pentatonix, Noah Cyrus, Patti LaBelle, Jordin Sparks, Keke Palmer, Brett Young, and more! There will also be lots of pre-taped Broadway show performances from “Hamilton,” “Ain’t Too Proud,” “Jagged Little Pill,” and “Mean Girls.”

Here’s the low down from Today:

The Rockettes are ready!

Jimmy Fallon and The Roots are dancin’ in the street:

Don’t worry, Pikachu is still in the line up, too!

Of course, Santa is still able to attend as well. Keeping with tradition, Santa Claus will be at the end of the parade to officially kick off the holiday season.
