MEGHAN MARKLE & PRINCE HARRY SHOCKED US WITH THEIR TRUTH IN OPRAH INTERVIEW

After watching the interview with Oprah, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, I’m honestly shook.
For years I have enjoyed the excitement of following Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. I attended their weddings from my living room, like many of you did. I even have royal memorabilia that I’ve collected from friends over the years. This interview was certainly eye opening. My jaw dropped when listening to their experiences and what it’s actually like being part of the Royal Family. I was disgusted by hearing how they were treated differently because of Meghan’s ethnicity.

Meghan shared with Oprah that she contemplated suicide and reached out to the institution for help. She was told “no” because it “wouldn’t look good.” Wow. That was when my heart dropped into my stomach and I felt tears welling up in my eyes. The amount of courage it takes to ask for help is incredible, and then to be told no!? It’s unbelievable.
“I grieve a lot. I mean, I’ve lost my father. I lost a baby. I nearly lost my name. I mean, there’s the loss of identity. But I’m still standing, and my hope for people in the takeaway from this is to know that there’s another side,” Meghan said. “To know that life is worth living.”

Harry and Meghan revealed their reasons for stepping back from the Royal Family, and how sad they were when they wanted to spend time with the Queen, but were refused.
In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan announced plans to step back as senior members of the Royal family. “My biggest concern was history repeating itself,” Harry told Oprah referencing his mother Princess Diana’s death. “For me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side. Because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her [Diana] going through this process by herself all those years ago. Because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other.”
It was one shocking truth after another. Although they’re “free” from the Royal Family, it seems they may never actually be free. They did share one very happy news though…they’re expecting a baby girl! I can only hope that things get better for them, and they can be truly happy in their new life.
