LOGAN HIGH’S INTERACT CLUB HOSTING SHOE DRIVE THIS WEEK

Written by on May 3, 2021

Logan High School’s Interact Club is partnering with nonprofit Soles4Souls to hold a mass shoe drive in the La Crosse area. The drive kicks off today and runs through this Sunday, May 9th. We spoke with Will Coffey, a junior at Logan, about the drive this morning:

People looking to donate shoes can drop them off at Logan High School, 1500 Ranger Drive during the week of the drive from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Every type of shoe will be accepted. The Club is looking to raise more than 1,000 pairs of new or gently used shoes.

All donated shoes will be gifted to Soles4Souls, a nonprofit recognized as a Four Star Charity by
Charity Navigator that looks to turn unwanted shoes and clothing “into opportunity, by keeping
them from going to waste and putting them to good use.”

More about Interact:
Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 14-18. Interact clubs are
sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance. Interact has a
mission of bringing together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the
power of Service Above Self. Interact clubs organize two projects every year, one that helps their
school or community and one that promotes international understanding. In the La Crosse area,
there are separate Interact service clubs at each high school.
