ROCKONSIN: YOUTH COMPETITION TO PERFORM AT SUMMERFEST

The chance to cross “Playing Summerfest” off your bucket list is back. ROCKONSIN is a Wisconsin statewide garageband competition for 7th – 12th grade musicians of all musical genres. It’s free to upload a video of your band’s performance by July 15 to apply.
The 12 statewide finalist bands will be announced on August 1st and will play at Summerfest September 3 and 4. The winner and runner up will perform on September 18 with the winner and runner up from the 2020 contest, since Summerfest was cancelled last year.
A spot at the World’s Largest Music Festival isn’t the only prize. The top 2 bands will receive a professional recording session at Madison’s Blast House Studios. Each of the 12 state finalist bands will receive a Shure vocal and instrument microphone with cords. The winning band will also receive a Shure wireless vocal microphone.
