You’ve heard it everywhere. Grocery stores, dentist offices and every time you tune into your favorite “80’s to Now” radio station, the 1999 smash “Smooth” by Santana and Rob Thomas.
News broke earlier this week that the duo has teamed up once again to release a new single, “Move” on August 20th. In anticipation of the new song, I wanted share some of my favorite memes surrounding their timeless classic, “Smooth”
I was today years old when I found out that there was a Twitter account in 2012 posing as Rob Thomas, giving us weather updates. That’s genius.
It speaks for itself.
So a few months ago, I stumbled across a Twitter thread that described one man’s adventure as he watched a cover band play, “Smooth” 20 TIMES IN A ROW. I say this without exaggeration, it maybe the best thing on the Internet. Read it. Give it your heart. Make it real.
