Houston County Fair kicks off Wednesday

Written by on August 16, 2021

With a motto like “Where Town and Country Meet,” a fair has to live up to that phrase. The Houston County Fair plans to do just that again this year.

HOUSTON COUNTY FAIR 2021
WHERE: 203 South History Lane, Caledonia, MN
When: August 18-21

Fair Manager, Emily Johnson, told Classic Hits 94.7 there’s something for everyone. “We have everything from open class 4-H, entertainment for kids, major concerts in the grandstand, and demo derbying.”

The Grandstand Schedule is indeed a big line-up:

Thursday-Wayland Concert
Friday-Neal McCoy Concert
Saturday-Demo Derby
Sunday-Tuff Trucks

Don’t worry, there’s plenty to eat and drink at the fair, too.

Johnson promised many of the favorites: Stumpy’s, Smoke and Chrome, Oly’s Mini Donuts, The Udder Place, and the 4-H Food Stand.

The Midwest Rides Carnival will run Thursday-Sunday. Full schedule and wristband information HERE.

With the help of community members and businesses, they’ve also added a new Livestock Building. They will having a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Schulze Livestock Building on August 18th at 5pm.

Head to the Houston County Fair website for the full schedule, exhibitors, and more.
