It’s no secret that I’ve always been a Blockhead! I’ve seen New Kids on the Block in concert 7 times, and I am so excited to see them again.
New Kids on the Block made the announcement for their 2022 Mixed Tape Tour and it’s A-MAZ-ING! The tour will include Rick Astley, En Vogue and Salt-n-Pepa. Daaaamn! Tickets go on sale this Friday morning, so I have to update my New Kids on the Block fan club membership so I am guaranteed to get seats! Block Nation, it’s a thing.
New Kids on the Block formed in 1984 and toured until 1994. Our hearts broke when they announced they were ending. In 2008 we got the surprise of our lives when they reunited! They began touring again in 2011 and are still going strong. I’ve seen them with the Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Paula Abdul, Debra Gibson, Tiffany, Salt-N-Pepa, Nelly, TLC, Naughty By Nature, and 98 Degrees. I cannot wait for this next show. So many incredible memories. The time Jenny McCarthy (married to Donnie Wahlberg) was sitting right behind me and Donnie climbed over the top of us (literally) to go and give her a kiss. I may have accidentally touched his butt (oops). My sister was so mad at me she didn’t talk to me for a few hours (Donnie is her favorite). But she got to meet him…so…no need to be jealous!
They gave us a sneak peak on the Kelly Clarkson Show!
Whenever you find something that gives you the purest joy, like New Kids does for me, do it. Spend the money, go to the show, and embrace the memories!
