DOWNTOWN MADISON’S “RUNNING MAN” LOSES OVER 250 POUNDS

Written by on February 8, 2023

Madison man Chris Line assumes at his heaviest, he tipped the scales at about 440lbs. About five years ago, he decided that he needed a change

Chris then changed his diet and started jogging up and down State Street and around Capitol Square everyday and is down to about 180lbs.

He says he does about 5 miles in the morning, 5 miles at lunch and 5 to 10 miles after work.

According to Wisconsin State Journal:

Growing up in Monroe, Line said he was always extremely overweight. Beginning around high school and through his college and law school years, he said he weighed about 350 pounds. He hit his top weight briefly in 2017 during the stress of his last finals of law school.

Chris’s co-workers were impressed with his progress and wanted to congratulate him. So they signed him up for the Madison Marathon where he finished with a time just over 2 hours. And he’s not done working on himself and says that he’ll be out running in all weather, as long as the temps are in the teens or above.
