The writing has been on the wall for awhile.

We didn’t want to admit that Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings were going to part ways. But as of noon Monday, it was announced that the quarterback will sign with the Atlanta Falcons after six years in Minnesota.

But that’s the business, right? So why not take a walk down memory lane and take a look at some of my favorite moments of Kirk playing QB for my favorite team.

#3 Netflix Documentary Shows Kirk Cousins In Affable Light.

In the summer of 2023, as excitement for the upcoming football season was ramping up, Netflix released a documentary that followed the day to day operations of three NFL quarterbacks. There wasn’t too many folks that had seen the series and didn’t have some part of them that was rooting for Kirk. It showed him as not only a dedicated player but a really great dad too.

It seemed all but over for Minnesota as they fell behind the Colts 33-0 on December 17th, 2022. But they managed the biggest comeback in team’s history.

Now, I was at this game. We’re watching all the pregame festivities, getting ready for the game. It part of the show when a former player or some sort of figure or fan sounds the Galljarhorn. To the surprise of the crowd, Kirk was tapped to get the game going. He’d been injured for the season and it was just so great to see him getting the crowd going.
