Almost Half Of British Concert-Goers Plan On Attending Shows Alone

A study of of the United Kingdom asked 2,000 people their opinions on attending concerts or festivals by themselves. Just about 40% of those polled said they have gone and are planning to go to a show solo.

Of the folks that said that they wouldn’t like to go by themselves, they said the common reasons were they lacked confidence in their own company, didn’t feel safe and expressed nervousness about the prospect of flying solo at a show.

Now, as someone who has attended shows by themselves many times, I almost prefer it. You don’t have to worry about losing somebody in the crowd or worry if they’re having a good time. And you can leave anytime you want!
