2026 PARKINSON’S WALK AND AWARENESS EVENT

The La Crosse STAR Center‘s 4th Annual Parkinson’s Walk and Awareness Event is coming up Saturday, May 9th at Myrick Park! The STAR Center will be putting on this event to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease in our community. This event includes a 1-mile walk, food trucks, live music, exercise demonstrations, resource booths, and children’s activities.
Bri Holden, STAR Center Program Coordinator and Facilitator, joined the Buzz to talk more about what they do and the event:
This event raises awareness within the La Crosse community while supporting local and national Parkinson’s resources. Proceeds benefit STAR Center Parkinson’s Disease Exercise Programs, the La Crosse Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation to advance research toward a cure.
Registration can be done online or day of. The walk is free but donations are encouraged.

Event Timeline:
10:00 am: In Person Registration and pre-ordered T-shirt Pick Up Opens
11:00 am: Opening Ceremony
11:15 am: Walk Begins (1 mile loop)
12:00-2:00 pm: Resource Booths, Live Music, Food Truck, Children Activities, Exercise Demonstrations
