A HEART FOR HADLEE

Written by on October 30, 2017

We love helping people in our community.  This story is very special.  At 2 months old Hadlee Rose Fuchsel was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy which caused her heart to occupy the majority of her chest. Her lung was collapsed, and she needed medical support to keep her heart beating and her other lung breathing. She received a Berlin Heart to help assist her heart to pump blood to the rest of her body, and she was placed at the top of the Heart Transplant List. She has required 24/7 care and technology at Mayo in Rochester, which has required Hadlee to remain in the hospital.  Her parents have made many sacrifices and have rearragned their lives to be with Hadlee as much as possible.  Thanks to a donor, Haddle recieved her new heart on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.  She will still need continuous care for months before she can go home from the hospital. We pray that Hadlee’s new heart will remain strong and that Hadlee can gain her strength to get better so she can go home soon to live life with her family!

With the help of our ZCare sponsors, G.E.C.U. and The Mattress Outlet, Jen O’Brien stopped by Hadlee’s benefit to surprise her parents with a donation from our ZCare foundation.  If you would like to donate to Hadlee’s family, click here for more information!  Anything would be greatly appreciated.
