Z93 and Zcare to help support the Coulee Region’s iFeed Drive

La Crosse, WI: Z93 is holding a food drive to support iFeed this Wednesday morning, November 1! We will be collecting non-perishable food items with the Hunger Task Force from 6:30-9am at the Sunfish on Hwy 35 in Onalaska. Mid-West Family Broadcasting is encouraging the community to drop off goods that morning to help iFeed feed those in need.

More information on iFeed:

The 3rd Annual iFeed will be held on Saturday, November 4, from 8am to Noon at Logan High School, in La Crosse, Wis.

iFeed is a one-day event that works to alleviate hunger in the world and in our own communities. It is organized by seven area high school Interact Clubs and their Rotarian advisers. Interact is the high school equivalent of Rotary that focuses on teaching servant leadership.

iFeed has two parts: Part 1 involves packing 75,000+ dried meals in assembly line-fashion. These meals have been shipped to communities in Nicaragua for the past two years. Part 2 involves collecting non-perishable food items in the weeks leading up to iFeed and then bringing the collections to Logan High on the day of the event. The food items will then be counted, sorted and trucked to the Hunger Task Force where the food will be distributed to area food banks. The Interact students are asking the local communities to support them by bringing non-perishable food items to iFeed on November 4.

Also, iFeed has found a way to get 21,000 dried meals to hurricane victims in Puerto Rico! So those meals will be shipped to San Juan where they are still dealing with the terrible effects of Hurricane Maria! The remaining meals will be sent to Nicaragua.
