Cardi B Claps Back At Wisconsin Congressman

Written by on April 22, 2021

Today, Wisconsin Representative Glenn Grothman took to the House floor to voice concerns that the FCC wasn’t doing their job, allowing performances like Cardi B’s rendition of ‘WAP’ at the Grammys to be beamed into millions of homes.

“Wake up, FCC and begin to do your job. The moral decline of America is partly due to your utter complacency.”, Congressman Grothman said.

Cardi B shortly clapped back in a tweet.

Governor Tony Evers was also asked about the situation with this response:

Calling Cardi’s performance, “The moral decline of America” seems like a bit of a reach in my opinion. The easiest way to not consume content is to simply change the channel. Viewers had more than enough time throughout the broadcast to decide check her out or not. And I’m sure that a lot of the complaints are coming from folks who are probably hearing about it via memes and various media talking heads. And Cardi’s absolutely right. We’ve got much bigger problems right now than worrying about an artist who put out a song that’s clearly for adults.

I’m also curious to know what Representative Grothman’s opinion is on the billboards that take residence on 41, heading to Green Bay, for several gentlemen’s clubs. How many parents have had to awkwardly explain to their kids that “The White House” isn’t THE White House?
