MISSISSIPPI VALLEY MAYHEM WANTS YOU TO PLAY ROLLER DERBY!

Ever thought about playing roller derby? Now’s your chance! The Mississippi Valley Mayhem is La Crosse’s Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby team and they want you to join!

Never skated?  No problem! Seasoned rink rat? Hone your skills!  Next week, they’ll have two more open practices for those looking to join the team. They’ll cover everything from how to fall safely to roller derby game play, and what to expect when you join the Mayhem for their exciting and hard-hitting twelfth (!!) season. All skating levels are welcome.

We caught up with Jester, a veteran skater, and Natalie, a new recruit who just joined last week, to find out what to expect and how to join.

MVM is looking for skaters, and referees, to join their family. They will have some equipment you can borrow to try it out, but encourage you to reach out in advance so they can plan for your arrival.

Practices next week are Monday and Wednesday, June 21 and 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the Onalaska Omni Center.
