THE WIGGLES ADD 4 DIVERSE MEMBERS- CELEBRATES 30 YEARS

My niece was obsessed with The Wiggles when she was a toddler. We used to dance and sing along to their shows, and my sister took her to one of their live shows too! The band started in 1991 with 4 guys from Australia; Jeff, Anthony, Murray, and Greg. I have to admit…they were quite entertaining, even for adults! Fast forward 30 years and the group is still going, however it looks quite different. Anthony is the only original cast member still on the show, and now the group is expanding to 8 members, including 4 girls.!
TODAY has the full story. “In a statement, founding band member Anthony Field wrote that it was important that “The Wiggles continue to evolve along with our society.” “The Wiggles were created during a time when early childhood educational concepts were the focus,” Field said. “As society has evolved, we have embraced the need for diversity and inclusiveness and want children all over the world to see themselves reflected on the screen.”
The eight members of The Wiggles have a new show, “Fruit Salad TV,” which launches Sept. 4 on its YouTube channel.
