Read any comment thread on a controversial news story and you’ll see hot takes from friends and family. It’s unavoidable at this point. But is there anything you see that will make you automatically unfollow or block someone?
16% of people who’ve unfollowed or blocked a friend said it was over politics . . . 15% said the person started dating or sleeping with an EX of theirs . . . 12% said they were gossiping about them . . . and 7% say they found out their former friend is just a big liar.
Interestingly enough, around 1 in 6 people have unfriended someone during the pandemic and say they’ve ended around three friendships during the same time period.
