TAKING A WEEK OFF FROM SOCIAL MEDIA MAKES YOU HAPPIER

There’s no shortage of negativity on social media. That’s an absolute fact. But a new study has found that taking just 7 days away from your socials has a positive effect on your mental health and well-being.

Of the 150 people that participated, they reported that they felt happier and less stressed overall. But most of the subjects couldn’t stay away completely for the whole week. They did end up spending about 21 minutes on Facebook or TikTok throughout, but that was way down from the SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS they would have normally spent.

While I’m absolutely sure that it would do wonders for my overall disposition, I really don’t think I could stay away for an entire week. At this point, I’m so hopelessly addicted to TikTok, there’s no coming back from it. But perhaps, it’d be worth a shot.
