Three New Star Wars Films Announced

Whew. Tons of new Star Wars news to report today!

Good Morning America reported that 3 new live-action Star Wars films were announced by Lucasarts President Kathleen Kennedy at the Star Wars Celebration in London Friday.

According to the article:

The plan is to “expand the past, the present and the future” of the franchise. At the helm of these films are James Mangold, who directed “Logan” and is directing the forthcoming “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”; Dave Filoni, a veteran of the “Star Wars” universe across numerous projects; and two-time Academy Award winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who recently directed two “Ms. Marvel” episodes for Marvel.

It was also announced that Daisy Ridley will be reprising her role as “Rey” in the upcoming projects.

And as if that wasn’t enough, a new trailer for “Ahsoka”, a live action series set for release on Disney+, was released today. Take a look below.
