Wisconsin Thrill Seekers Trapped Upside Down Ride For Three Hours

Written by on July 5, 2023

A staple of any Wisconsin summer is taking in a carnival or county fair. Maybe a corn dog and possibly getting trapped upside down on a ride for three hours.

The “Fire Ball” thrill ride malfunctioned at the Forest County Festival in Crandon on Sunday leaving riders stranded for three hours. Eight people were aboard the ride, seven were children. The Antigo Fire Department were called in to rescue the trapped riders and thankfully there were no injuries.

The ride had passed an inspection that day and was fixed soon after the incident.
