Minnesota Teen A Finalist In Duct Tape Prom Dress Contest

Ava Motl of Robbinsdale, a Twin Cities suburb has a shot at a $10,000 scholarship as she’s a finalist in a Duct Tape Prom Dress contest.
Ava’s dress is inspired by Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” and used 21 rolls of duct tape and she said that it took over 220 hours to assemble.
She told KSTP-TV:
“I love the idea of the crimpled fabric and trying to get it textured,” Motl said. “Assembling it was the most difficult. The skirt is the heaviest part; it sort of pulls it down.”
Ava says if she wins, she’ll put the money towards fashion school in New York. Check out the video below!
