Lawmakers Aim To Make “Old Fashioned” The Official Cocktail Of Wisconsin

Now this is some politicking that I can get behind.
Two lawmakers in Madison have officially introduced a resolution to make the brandy Old Fashioned the Wisconsin state cocktail.
Rep. John Plumer, R-Lodi, and Sen. Cory Tomczyk, R-Mosinee, listed some statistics that back up their case.
According to Madison.com
“Wisconsin accounts for over half of Korbel’s annual brandy sales in the United States, purchasing over 150,000 cases of Korbel brandy in 2019 alone. The old-fashioned has become an unmistakable symbol of Wisconsin, its residents, and its unique culture,”
Hard to argue that these folks aren’t doing the people’s work.
